Cumhurbaşkanı Yardımcısı Cevdet Yılmaz, Tarımsal Strateji ve Politika Geliştirme Merkezi’nin TARPOL’un bir otelde düzenlediği iftar programına katıldı.
Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan liderliğinde, Türkiye tarım alanında güçlü bir yol haritası oluşturdu ve önemli kazanımlar elde ettiğine dikkat çeken Yılmaz, şunları kaydetti:
“Son 22 yılda gıda ve tarım ürünlerinde 107 milyar dolarlık dış ticaret fazlası verdik. Tarım sektörü, genel ekonomimizde kritik bir mesele olan cari açık konusunda, Türkiye’ye sürekli katkı sağlayan, istikrar sunan alanlardan biri oldu. Ayrıca, Türkiye sebze üretiminde dünyada dördüncü, meyve üretiminde altıncı sırada yer alıyor. 206 farklı tarımsal ürün yetiştirebilen bir ülke olarak, bitkisel üretimimizi 2002 yılına göre yüzde 41 artırarak 2023 yılında 139 milyon tona ulaştırdık. Bu, Cumhuriyet tarihimizin en yüksek üretim rakamıdır.”
Enflasyon açısından da tarım ve gıda politikalarının önemine dikkat çeken Yılmaz, “Enflasyon sepeti içerisinde gıdanın önemli bir ağırlığı var. Özelliklede dar gelirli vatandaşlarımızın harcama kompozisyonu içerisinde gıdanın payı göreceli olarak daha yüksek. Sosyal adalet açısından gıda fiyatlarının kontrol altında olması düşmesi ve ya yükselmemesi son derecesi önemli. Bu çerçevede kamu olarak tasarruf tedbirleri uyguladığımız bir yılda hiçbir tasarrufa bağlı tutmadığımız en temel kalemlerden biri sulama oldu. Sulama yatırımlarında tarihimizin en yüksek oranlarına çıkmış durumdayız. Gıda enflasyonunu önümüzdeki dönemde kontrol altına almayı ve düşürmeyi hedefliyoruz” şeklinde konuştu.
