Antalya’da düzenlenen 8. Uluslararası Tohumculuk Kongresi’ne katılan Tarım ve Orman Bakanı İbrahim Yumaklı, tohumun önemine değindi.
Türkiye’nin tohumculukta İsrail’e bağımlı olduğu yönünde yalan yanlış söylemler ortaya atıldığını ifade eden Yumaklı “Şu anda bütün dünyada bağlantılarımız kopsa bile ülkemizin gıda arz güvenliğine etki edecek tohumculuk anlamında hiçbir sorunumuz yoktur, olmayacaktır. Türkiye tohum konusunda kendine yeten ve tohum ihraç eden bir ülkedir. Türkiye dünyada tohumculuk konusunda artık otorite olarak kabul edilen bir ülkedir. Bu ülkenin gençleri, mühendisleri, firmaları bu sektörü geliştirmek için gecesini gündüzüne katmaktadır. Bu babayiğitler olduğu sürece bizim İsrail’e ya da başka herhangi bir ülkeye ihtiyacımız yoktur” dedi.
